I just started experimenting with dopplr after receiving an invite today! It is a web 2.0 application that lets you post details about your future travel plans and is mostly targeted at frequent travelers who want to synchronize their schedules with friends.
I think it can be a really useful app, even though it only gets interesting if enough of your friends (a) travel a lot and (b) join the community. So, anyone who likes an invite please let me know, (the service is invitation only for now).

The LocalAreaNetwork at my place is named after the simpsons and today we added a new member to the family. Welcome Moe Szyslak the new gateway and app server! Equipped with dual CPUs (quadcore) and redundant power supplies Moe is also going to be responsible for keeping my home nicely heated in the coming winter season ;)

I finally managed to upload my favorite pictures from the trip to Istanbul with Michael in June. 
We had a really great time there, enjoying dinner at several great roof top terrace restaurants, seeing Topkapi palace, the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The pictures from the Cisterns turned out really well, too.

As a measure for ease of use and good mac integration I am going to switch from using my own instance of coppermine to storing my pictures in flickr now! The old pictures will remain online in place but all future uploads will go to my flickr account.
I'm starting off with some pictures from the japaneese diner we did at Dani & Flo's new apartment.

This is what happens if you go out with a bunch of ppl after work. My trip back to munich was somewhat miserable after a night out in Belfast ;)
